What's the biggest 9 pin pin dual triode? This one is for a hefty cathode follower, and I'd like it to be 9 pin and dual for cosmetics.
Biggest as in physical size, or Gm, or mu, or power handling ...
I don't know if it is biggest, but the 6H30 seems like a reasonable start.

For a cathode follower I would look at the 7044 or the E182CC/7119. They both have high cathode current ratings, and even higher peak current ratings. 4.5 watts plate dissipation per triode, 8 watts total. Both are very linear despite their original use as "computer tubes". The 7044 was used by Audio Note in their Ankoru design, and the 7119 has been diy'ed many times. I have used both succesfully. Beware the non standard pinout!

Bing bing bing, we have a winner! Big power and has not shot up in price yet (I better buy some fast!) 🙂

Da! It's a good one. 4.8W/section and I'm toasting it at 8W total in a 1 watt PP guitar amp. Can do nearly 2W class-A with a proper PI 🙂
