Big tower speakers, very little low bass output, possible woofer attenuation?. Help!!

Is there a port, or is the cabinet sealed? Do both woofers in the cabinet go in the same direction
at the same time? Walk around the room (or even the whole house), the low bass will be stronger
in some areas than others.

Assuming the little mic in my 2011 MacBook Air resembles the mic in your cellphone, here's the answer in post 1, figure 3:

You can use your laptop mic - diyAudio

Your mic is likely not responding as you go below 60 Hz relative to mid-band.

Based on 60 years experience, unless you play pop recordings (that have exaggerated bass) and play them pretty loud, the bass has to be well louder than flat to sound satisfyingly realistic.

Ah, I see!, yes, that is definitely a posibility. It looks very similar to what you are showing me!. I do have a pair of proper mics I will try using those for a proper measurement. THanks!

I did forget to mention, the woofers start moving considerably from 20hz. Maybe I´m just misiterpreting what sub bass frequencies are supposed to sound?, am I supposed to hear it a lot or is it a combination of hearing and feeling?

Regarding the measurements, it´s very likely that the phone´s mic does not respond below 60hz (ty bentoronto), I will try using a proper mic next time.

PD: Now that I´ve turned up the volume a bit, I definitely hear and feel the bass more, even in the 20s. Could this just be a combination of me using a useless cellphone mic and being a total newb and having no clue what to expect to hear in the lowest registers?

Since you see the woofer moving on low frequencies but you don't hear much of anything, polarity seems like the problem. The battery check is easy, you should do it to be sure they are all moving the same direction.

It does seem unlikely that these have a built in high pass filter. Bypassing the crossover will tell you for sure.
