Why cross so low? I've done many 3 way coax + woof active systems and see no need to cross that low. Keep the LF out of the coax cone as that's often the main WG for the HF so minimal excursion is best. Moving it up an octave will reduce coax cone excursion by a factor of 4.What woofer will be best for low bass up to 100-150 Hz?
Conception is point source + support low frequency. That is why I mean about 12" coax (more than 10"). Usually 12" coax is more like full range speaker (in project for home). In this case BMS 12C382 is a weakest in bass compared to others 12" coaxial. In my first choice - B&C 12NCX in closed box there was quite nice to see cross over paint below 100Hz possible.
But there is good advice. What HP cross over paint do You recomend for 12" coax woofer (still in mind home use).
What coax can You recomend for home hifi (remembering there will be active cross over and DSP with Hypex FA503)? As I mentioned early my types are:
BMS 12C382 and FaitalPro 12HX230 (better LF characteristic) - good sounding drivers (both quite new on the market)
I'm nearly decided that Dayton Audio RSS390HF-4 will be perfect for me 🙂 so I need to choose Coax now...

I don't see any point crossing below baffle step, which with a 15 (~40cm wide) would mean 250Hz or so minimum. Look at the distortion and excursion at even high levels crossed there; both will be low. What HP cross over paint do You recomend for 12" coax woofer (still in mind home use).
I've not used any recent pro 12" drivers, but I have some Eminence KL3012 coaxes on order for stage monitors so I'll be doing a full measurement suite on them, when they arrive - so far, that's April at the earliest. I also have a Beta 12CX coming to try in my bass guitar rig with either a RCF18 or a pair of JBL2226 below it, actively crossed. What coax can You recomend for home hifi (remembering there will be active cross over and DSP with Hypex FA503)? I've had a few BMS drivers and universally liked them, but no direct experience with their coaxes except the 4590s I have. My surrounds, at least the last pair, used Faital 8HX200 crossed to a ported 2226 actively and really liked them. Not sure what I'll build after the move as I have maybe 100 spare drivers and at least a dozen potential designs, so based on the experience with these (and the 6HX150), I think the FPs could be a good purchase.
