I've got about twenty of these. Think they'll work well in a Zen?
Ixys IXFK80N20. Capable of 360 Watts. I'll probably run it at standard Zen currents, though.
If nothing else, it will probably last longer before it self-destructs.

Yowch! I can get about 320 Ohms output impedance from my 6c45pi driver tube and 4:1 interstage transformer ... that may be pushing the limit ... (sorry for entering tubes into this discussion, but I have a driver stage here on my desk)
Well, since I've got a stack of 80N20s, I might as well try 'em.
Since it seems that Pass is lurking, I'll toss this one onto the ring. If I use a driver stage with voltage gain, I can remove the voltage gain from the MOSFET. Therefore, I can use the 80N20 in follower configuation with unity voltage gain. Any advantages?
