Here are the detailed measurements of Raal 140 with different configurations of the foam wedges:

And I did find some measurements done with Neo8 using vertical felt (in Dutch but chrome page translate works well):

How do you deal/flatten all those wiggle in the frequency response of the NEO8-S??
Is pre digital EQ the best way .. i'm looking to build a truly flat studio monitor and i'm looking for the best midrange to do it..

Hi,
try to look for here and elswhere the cool studio monitor than gbegland/studiotech member made with Raal+Neo10 & also with 8 iirc. It was with a ScanSpeak midwoof...

Yes, B&G planars have a big peak around 12k hz. And that is supposed to be a result of the perforations/wells.
Other than this peak, there is not much to correct in the FR.
And my observation of the peak; it is not offensive like the resonant or break-up peaks of some other drivers. You can listen to a Neo8S without correction and only thing you realize is somewhat more obvious/prominent cymbals in the music.
I EQ them with DSP before DAC.
However one caveat with planar/ribbon drivers: they are very sensitive to CO point.
Studiotech crosses Neo8S around 400hz. I found them too harsh down there.

My personal opinion on the neo8 is its a fabulous mid/lower tweeter, but needs some top end added. It might have enough top end for some, but doesn't cut it for me. As for the peak at its upper limit, anything I tried to tame it with, wether it was a passive notch or EQ, kinda killed what top end "life" it was capable of, and as stated it's not really as offensive sounding as it looks like it would be by the FR sweep.
