I need a couple BF423s for a NAD 3140 I am trying get going and not having any luck finding them. On another thread people suggested smaller electronics stores that I wasn't able to find through typical searching.
Any suggestions for places that might carry an authentic BF423? I also have MPSA92 as possible substitute.

BF423 has been obsolete for many years.
It is only a 100mA hfe 50 transistor.
A 2n4403 is a good replacement but observe pin outs, I think, from memory, they are the same.

MPSA92 is a good electrical substitute but you need to swap the base and collector leads.
BF423 is electrically the same as BF823 which is SMT in a SOT-23 package. Ebay sells adapter boards - search for "SOT23 to SIP3 Adapter".
2N4403 is a 40 volt breakdown but BF423 is 250 volts. Not a good match.
