Hi
I’d like some advice on floor coverings to go under equipment, over a concrete floor.
The amps in this system are:
- Hypex class D for sealed subs,
- 45 tubes for (105 dB) horns, and
- an Aleph for the centre channel.
They are likely to sit on simple open frame timber stands resting on this area.
There options are (consistent with the rest of the floor in a multi use room) are
- heavy carpet with thick underlay, or
- vinyl tiles
- or bare concrete.
What would vibrate the amps less, thick carpet or vinyl?
Or do airborne sound vibrations greatly outweigh this??
Thanks
