Best way to attach socket?

How is everybody connecting the sub to the terminal cup? I built a couple of the SS15 with the 3015LF subs. Whats the best way to connect to the speakon cup? I went with speakon but is 1/4" a better way to go?

1/4" can short if the plug is pulled out accidentally. I use Speakons, with little crimp connectors that push onto the Speakon terminals. Sometimes with metal terminal cups, other times just the wide flange speakon version.
