you know all these claims can be measured right? I hate to say this but pretty much the entire recable market is a placebo. The drivers are just not that sensitive to make enough improvement that you would notice audibly.
I have tested that theory by using in ear microphones. I have measured the frequency response of my headphones then switched the cable and set the levels the same remeasure the frequency response the results have always been immeasurable audibly .3db at best.

Hi there,
I would need to recable my K701 as the default cable is too short when i'm sitting in the living room.
by thinking of recabling it, other questions came:
do i make one cable by side or just replace the existing one?
do i make the cable(s) detachable?
i'm located in France, and wanted to order the cable on the Audiophonics website
which one do you recommend me?
thank you in advance for you help!

I use JSC Wire
I've tried Canare 505 Star Quad (similar to popular Mogami) which was better than stock.
In other (non-headphone) apps, I was using this foil-shielded species from JSC Wire, and it works (sounds) better than the Canare. Although a bit stiff, it's also better for 'phones. I got it locally at an electrical surplus store.
