...... but these were not the S versions Lundahl specifies for splitting.
I thought the differences would come from the different ways the interleaving layers are connected 😕
Actually looking at the Tango specs, the NC14 is 1+1:1+1 and the NC16 is 1+1:2+2. So for phase splitting where you want a 2:2+2 ratio it looks more like the NC16. They are same size and weight. NC14 is 30mA and 50H primary, and NC16 is 15mA and 70H primary.

Yes - Lundahl phase splitting isn't clear. The S versions just mention internal Faraday shields. Can't see that the windings are different.

Hi!
The Tango datasheets are not clear with regard to bias current, or it is not clear since it is mentioned in japanese.
Often the max current specified is the saturating current. By no means can this be used as bias current.
NC14 handles 15mA bias current with primaries in series. Then it has 50Hy. Primaries in parallel can handle 30mA but inductance drops to 12.5Hy
NC16 is 15mA only with paralleled primaries, 17Hy

Thomas - for the NC16 I see one site calling it 1+1:1+1 and another two sites calling it 1+1:2+2. Do you have any definite information on this?

The Lundahls look like good value here next to the rest. Silk is good value but no idea of quality. You then have to ask yourself what you are getting for more money than the Lundahls. I don't know the answer, because it really needs a direct comparison. Reputation is one thing but an A-B test is more informative. Thomas has plenty of experience and thinks Tango is worth the money, so that's one benchmark.
Are there any comparative tests or A-B listening experiences of interstages like this online?

Where Can I buy 126C for 34€?
Bluebell Audio
126C is £27.10. In the UK we also have to add 20% tax. You could order direct from Canada

Electra-Print is a good idea - can anyone comment? I'm in the UK so have to add shipping to US goods, plus I often have to pay customs charges in addition. Easier for me to buy in Europe, plus for some reason I don't seem to pay customs charges on stuff from China or Japan so far, no idea why.

Andy: That's just your government giving every advantage possible to foreign manufacturers since things are going so well in Briton these days.
Mods you may feel free to delete this but someone had to say it!
Hi Mel
Whatever gave you the idea that we love our governments in the UK? And those lovely fat cats that run banks and fool about with our cash? Mind, we have to be nice to our Chinese buddies - we owe them a whole lot of money and that's a fact. And they are very clever at making things........
