Nice curcuit, i will try it for a F5. Is the 270 Ohm resistor for variing the gain and from which value? A pot at the input 10k is okay? Thanks for answers.
is the LSK 170 from the store the same as the 2sk170bl ??
.
Same, but if you want Toshiba parts and choice of idss, Spencer has them.
How efficient are your speakers? If you need gain, BA3 FE works for me as well.

I have jfet boz and ba-3. Using Salas DCG3 now with f5 turbo. Definitely the most technically competent of the 3. Great headphone amp too.
I will probably build Jumas preamp from post #485 to compare as well. Winter project. The Salas preamp is great but I don’t need that much drive from a preamp and I’d like to use it at work as a headphone amp. Something to consider...

@audiouli sorry to revive your thread, I am wondering what pre you choose in the end for the F6..
My case will be a bit different, provided you have enough input signal (from digital), I would be looking at a B1 (which I already own) for an F6, or maybe would a passive 10K-20K or an active muses control given the F6 input buffer suffice too?

+1 for the Salas DCB3, but the BA3 front end punches way above it's weight and is an relatively inexpensive and easy build. Can't go wrong with either.buffered pot
so, B1
Thank you guys, I shall be looking then at: DAC < DCB1 < 20K volume pot (20K Alps, Muses or might have a 50K stepped Elna around) < F6 and probably speaker protection.. let's see!
The choice of the case is not easy in this period of time, but given the difficulty to choose I will then probably house the DCB1 in a separate case..
