Best inductor for pro preamp

Hi all,

I would like to know everyone's opinion on which type of inductor should be used for small signal audio e.g. a preamp. Is it ok to use the standard ferrite bobbin type or would a specific type be better. This application is a high gain mic preamp where low noise and distortion are required.

Where do you intend to use this component? I know of no preamplifier that uses inductors, not that it isn't possible. Is it handling audio, or is it used for interference rejection? Makes a big difference.
