Hello all,
I'm new on this forum, I've seen that most of you have done yourselves some high end DAC's and I want to do one also for me.
I would like to use Wolfson or BB chips, because I've hear that they are the best. For instance, I've found http://www.audiodiylab.com/modules/AMS/article.php?storyid=19, named USB DAC 301. What do you think about it?
I have some Shure SE530PTH and unfortunately I cannot use them at all performances with my HP laptop. All of us we know that those soundcards are crappy and horrible..
Because some of you know good project references on this forum and all over Internet, can you please make me some recommendations? I need to have:
-USB 1.1 and 2.0 support for MacOS and Windows XP and Vista
-optional coaxial input
-optional the ability to have information displayed on a LCD
-I would prefer to have the possibility to control volume using some UP/DOWN pushbuttons.
-high fidelity.. doesn't matter how much components has
-doesn't matter which components uses, I can procure them
-to be full documented, including source code (if has a microcontroller)
Here is a nice project of one of diyAudio members, but at first appearance, doesn't have USB to plug it onto my computer: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=59357&perpage=25&pagenumber=1
Can you please help me with this?
Thanks a lot!
Andrei
