WinISD for boxes, XSim for crossovers is what I like to use. Is it best? I'm not very concerned. 🙂

Vituixcad is now freeware!
A very capable set of simulations, including 3D power response! Good instructions!

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Vituixcad freeware: Wow! Is a tutorial of sorts for Vituixcad. Some of it seems self-explanatory, but still..
:do you guys know LscpCAD 5.1 Pro is also freeware?
best kept secret in ls design.
Let us now hope FineCone one day will also be freeware..

Peter, many of the Windows versions of Audio Programs run under WINE, which of course works on Linux. I've run WinISD, Hornresp, and Akabak under WINE.
Wine may have some issues e.g. with graphics and tooltips - probably depending on Linux distro.
VituixCAD (which is using .NET engine) is modified also for Wine users to avoid the most obvious problems with tooltips, semi-transparency of graphic lines and vertical texts. It's tested and at least usable on Ubuntu + Wine, but cannot promise 100% compatibility at the moment. Mono could be one way, but that doesn't look tempting at the moment. Main platform will be Windows.

I use macOS and use VirtualBox to run windows. you can download windows for free from microsoft now and just not activate it. I find that it's more stable than wine.
Savonian anti-superhero vituixmän has published VituixCAD 1.0 as freeware.
This is awesome! Nimestä vielä erikoispisteet 🙂

VituixCAD version 2.0 is out for a year now, looks like the desiger did a lot of work last/updates last year. VituixCAD 2.0.10.7 (2019-01-20) is released today.

In Basta!, when using measured response you need to negative all resistors values.... This is annoying!
@ Shank: it used to be on the IJdata site . I now see it disappeared. Mail Ingemar Johanssson and just ask....
try SATlive and LEVELcheck
SATlive Audio Measurement Software - for FFT
LevelCheck - for SPL logging
Windos software XP - W10
also runs with wine under linux and mac some users told me - perhaps not really smooth but try it.

We would need a software which can place drivers into a baffle, calculate baffle shape and optimal, from a listening position of like 20 degrees , 2.5 meters etc.
The xo is already hard, we should optimize the baffle shape and driver placement with a software, by hand it is too hard.

If you don't want to design speaker, than just build existing design.
