Best current 100uF electrolytic for tube preamps/amps?

Happy Black Friday!

I just stuffed a phono preamp board and now I'm out of PCB-mount (radial) 100uF 400V (or 450V) caps for power supply PCBs. I need to refill the pantry.

What's the current thinking on the best deal in 100uF electrolytic capacitors for tube amps? Just pick a Nichicon, United Chemicon, KEMET, Panasonic or other known good mfg and make sure the cap is low impedance/low ESR, 105C rated?

Is there an especially good bargain out there that someone knows of? Or an exceptional performer that's worth extra money?

Hi. Panasonic series FM as far as I know is among the best for using in psu's, for low esr and high reliability. The only thing is that it's rated for low voltages. Just below this scale of goodness there is the Panasonic UPW, working at tubes voltages.

PS: in your list you didn't mention the Rubycon, another fine brand.

For high voltage I've been using Panasonic THA for years. 7 in series for my 833C amps, in fact, bypassed with Mundorf M-Tubecap HV film caps in the final stage. Sounds great to me.

I second Panasonic FM for lower voltages.

$20 USD for a 100uF 450V electrolytic is way too rich for my blood. For that kind of money I'd get a metalized polyprolylene DC-Link cap, and make it fit somehow.

That Ymin 'lytic looks really good, and 500V rated to boot. With all the talk about counterfeit parts from China, and mindful that this does color my perception, do you think that part lives up to its lofty specs? 10,000 hrs life at +105C is an amazing number. It looks too good to be true, actually. ESR of 1.5 ohms at 100kHz seems good enough.

They also sell 100uF 450V from more well known mfgs like Nippon Chemicon and Rubycon. I've seen some of the more obscure brand names on caps in PC psu's, like SAMXON. Ymin is new to me, but that doesn't mean anything, really.

Anyhow, thanks for the tip. If those caps are the real deal, that's a great way to go. How long does shipping take, usually?
