Best coil for crossover

when u get into the high value coils and the high prices, does the wire thickness become a factor? For the same price which to plump for, ie a Jantzen P core with a thicker gauge or an air core w/ a thinner gauge?

I did make a coil with a transformer E and a airgap, have thick wire and can make a coil with max 0,1 ohm 22 mH.

PS works also fine for mids.

I did the coil this way, it is adjustable with airgap.

with closed airgap it is 80 mH and I have set in on 20 mH
it is 0,4 ohm. bass is oke, but I do not now what it does
when very loud. a toirod core can also I dit see with Janzten
but is a big one also.
