The spec sheet for the 8620 says something like MAX SUPPLY VOLTAGE: 24.7V , and the exact same field in the 843 data sheet says MAX SUPPLY VOLTAGE: 18V . I had always read that the 8620 should not be run with more than 24V supply. So you can see why it appears the way it did to me. Anyway, I'm glad to be wrong in this case.

The datasheet says actually 27.3 volts but if you have a regulated power supply you can use 30 volts but this would hardly be a choice in a commercial product. I have used +- 15 V without burning the AD8620 but this is nothing I recommend since you won't herar any difference between the safe voltage (+-12V) and +-15 V.
