hi,
I have already purchased a nice 4000 lumen OHP for my first DIY projector project. I need help deciding what projection panel to purchase. I could probably spend up to around $120 on it and if any one wants to sell one to me directly I would be open to that too. Could you give a good reccomendation for a starting panel that would be suitable for video game consoles and computer input? Thanks in advance! Also, is the proxima ovation 840 good for what i want?
🙂
P.S. I've done tons of board lurking and found a lot of information, but i just want the panels you think are the best for below $100- 120

On eBay I would definately not pay more than $100 for a panel. But for that much you should be able to get a pretty good one.
the ovation 840 is good, I have an ovation 820, it works great, although the resolution is kind of low (640x480) I would reccomend you get on that's at least 800x600

Qwerty,
Is the only way to hook up the 820/840 to a computer is with vga? If so, would I have to purchase an usb external tv tuner in order to hook up a dvd player/ video game console. thanks
The 820 model has s-video and video inputs.
my understanding for the 840 model is that it is 800x600 resolution and also has video and s-video inputs.
I think what you need are these links:
