Hello there,
I've retrieved an AMANERO I2S USB card in my electronic box, still in its plastic bag.
What would be the best build to create for having a DAC plugged to a raspberry Pi 4 and feeding an EMOTIVA XMC1 in dual XLR connectors.
simple, easy and better than my current smsl SU8
thanks!

Doesn't the EMOTIVA already have a dac inside it? Why would you want to use two dacs in a row, that can't be optimal?
That's probably not going to work. Its because inside the EMOTIVA, the analog inputs go into an internal ADC, then to a DSP, then to the internal DAC to be converted back to into analog which is routed to the analog output connectors.
Therefore, using the analog inputs can only make sound quality worse. Its because of the unnecessary added DAC/ADC conversions would be made before getting to the EMOTIVA DSP. To avoid the EMOTIVA DAC, you might see if you can use SPDIF to send digital audio from the PC to an EMOTIVA digital input, then send the EMOTIVA SPDIF output to your preferred to DAC (or back to the PC, and then to your preferred DAC).
