Besides gainclone, any other choice?

I am seeking for an amplifier model to build, i don't want go to class A because of the heat generation is scary.
Is there any other choice which better than gainclone (lm3886/LM4780) or ta-2020? I willing to pay more than a price of aleph 5, but, no class A for me. 😱
40~50W Output is enough juice for me.😀

Let's assume no ClassA and no switching.
That leaves ClassB and ClassAB plus some clever ClassG, & H which sort of switch to allow higher short term power.

Sticking with ClassAB and ClassB, you have the integrated chipamps. Everything on one chip and very few external components, or the driver chip with an external output stage and again very few external components.
Finally you have the fully discrete, but even this can be subdivided into those using an opamp or two and those using through hole components exclusively and those using some or all SMD components.

The world is full of different ways of using ClassAB and ClassB for Audio. Put on your specs and look for it.

Why no switching? If you'd otherwise prefere class A because of no crossover distortion, then class D would seem the obvious choice for the same result. Don't rule out class D unless you've actually heard something like a decent UCD amp.

Did you try LM3875? or if you want ,you can not go wrong with nxv200 from Aussie Amplifiers.Take a look.😉
