I want to buy a 2 channel audio interface to perform acoustical measurements with REW (and perhaps ARTA in the future).
I am looking at the Behringer UMC202HD. Is this the best choice in the $100 - $150 range? Or is there something else that I should be looking into?

Out of the box is not recommended for this job. But it gets a lot better with some tweaking. Behringer UMC 202HD for measurements
My UMC204HD is just fine for acoustical measurements. Distortion isn't the lowest of any USB interface I've had, so maybe not the best for sensitive measurements of amps and preamps, but the distortion and noise floor are totally swamped in acoustic measurements.
The Focusrite Scarlet is also very commonly used.
