I can understand how you feel. While I have not had that experience with Behringer, I have had something analogous with Sony products.

I'm looking at getting the DEQ secondhand with a 7 day warranty. Should I be concerned? Thoughts?
If there is a problem would it show up in a week? What should I look for?

I'd look for a longer warranty, but I'm biased since I've been bitten. If it works for 30 days, you should be good for a long while. But I've had a few pieces of Behringer gear die in fairly short order; after 7 days, but before 30.
These units are so inexpensive new that I'd just buy new from somewhere that will take a return for a DOA unit or one that dies quickly.
