Behringer Co. dead?

Yes

The BX1200 is actually quite different from the BXL3000 preamap. Are there similarities? Sure. But not at all using the same circuit throughout the series.
What information do you need?

Hi Enzo,
what I need is a schematic of a BF0052 PCB (Signal processor/Preamp of the BX(L)3000 Combo.
I changed the 4.5kg-heavy Final amp+ Power supply by a 500g Class-D amp + Power supply.

This (and some other acoustic measures) improved the sound of the combo incredibly.
Now the Class-D amp requires a higher drive level and I want to adjust the output of the preamp to fit (+6dB)

Comparing the BX(L)3000 PCB with the schematic I have available (BX1200, BX1800) indeed, the circuit is different but you can see many similiarities. I am a hardware developer myself, so I would do the same:
Behringer uses some "standard" components and functional blocks. The way they designe(d) a Phones amp, a master amp, an input amp.... where they select a 4580, where a 072 OPA.
The same eq circuitry is used, independently if it is a 5-band or 7-band eq! The optical compressor is identical in all amps also.

That helped me to identify the relevant components of my BX3000 preamp.

Another interesting detail is, they rebuilt the original ultrabass circuit (with a mitsubishi 51134 ic) with some analog and digital circuits after that IC became unavailable!

Sometimes amp + instrument restoring or "pimping" is like forensic analysis ;-)

Michael

Another thumbs up for Peavey. The steel guitar crowd knows this manufacturer VERY well, as they have gone out of their way time and time again to provide schematics and information. And their repair charges, should you need to send a unit in, are among the fairest in the industry. I only WISH other gear providers were as cooperative!! Roland/Boss is another one who won't give out schematics, even on units that are WAY beyond last production.

Try this one for Behringer schematics:
Service manual, eprom result list | Elektrotanya

I've gradually moved to preferring both new and old Peavey products.
