Hello everyone,
this is my first post here, I'm sorrry to start with a question but I'll try anyway 🙂
The auto power on circuit on these monitors (pretty decent for the price if you ask me), is triggered only when a loud signal is received. So speakers shut down on the quieter passages or if you are listening at low volume.
I'm aware of the Elliot's auto power on circuit (Project 38) and it will be my last restort if I won't be able to modify the circuit.
This is the only schematic I found and it's from the b2031a model but it should be similar
Behringer B2031 Schematic audio, Service Manual, Repair Schematics (I hope it's ok to post this link).
The auto poweron switch is on the top-right area of the schematic.
There are 2 VRs in the schematic but I doubt they have anything to do with the auto-poweron (maybe it's the bias?).
I already have some experience building DIY projects (the bigger one was a 18W guitar tube amp, ampmaker pp-18), but understanding this schematic is way beyon my knowledge.
It would be great if someone could shed some light on this, I'm sure all it needs is changing a couple of resistors! Thanks a lot for your help!!!
Cheers, Luca

Is there anyone who can point my in the right direction? I can't even see how the power is activated since there is no relay in the berigher schematic.
I just rigged up my Behringer b3031a and am very very impressed. Not as good as my Quad ESL63's but very very impressive.
Thanks for the Schematic link.
To solve your problem I would tap the output of 12b and put it into some thing like 12v-trigger-audio-signal.
BTW this thread should be moved to multiway.

OK I did not realize this was built in, I should read thew manual occasionally.
You could try adding a very low own resistor in parallel with the 47R resistor in the input of IC11B, I would try a 47R then 22R then 10R.

This is hilarious but I have just read your comment 😀 I still own the speakers and still very much need the modification on the auto power-on especially these days of alexa assistant and smart home automation. I report back as soon as I tried the mod.
Thanks for your input!
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Man it worked like a charm!!! I used a 10ohm resistor in parallel as you can see connected with some rigid wire (everything is so small in there that is almost impossible to solder the resistor directly). You can't go wrong with the resistor, it's the only 47ohm resistor installed. Anyway Behringer was so king to give me the schematics when I asked! They are great!!
Thanks a lot to you all.
