Hi, new be here. great site! I am not a trained engineer, but willing to learn as much as possible. I live in Greece(yes i Know). On a island. Any way i'm having trouble with this mixer. It seems like a simple problem but I just can't make out what is causing it. When I take outputs from the mains together only one channel works. However, Individually they both seem fine! I have tried from the xlr outs and the 1/4" outs its the same problem. I have a link to the schematic(below) but nothing jumps out at me. Is there anybody who may be able to shine some light on this. Many thanks.

The main outs have the TRS and XLR jacks on either channel paralleled. But there are no crosslinks to make a mono out from them. They are individual.

My concern is the problem may be downstream, so just to be sure... When you test the system, and let channel works and right channel works, but both at once do not, are you using the same side of the amp to test the two individually? In other words did you connect the Left Out to th power amp Left in, see that it works, and then connect the Right Out to the power amp left in and see that it works? What we need to do is connect the cable for the power amp left to the mixer left out, verify it works, then unplug that and connect the cable for the power amp right to the same mixer left out. That way we verify both channels of the PA and their connections.

Also make sure the power amp is not in bridge mode.

I see no way for the mixer outputs to know whether the other out is in use or not.

Thank you for your reply Enzo. Much appreciated. I agree with your last quote which is why i am so confused over this. I will have another look today and tr
y some of your suggestions. actually i am putting the outs into a pair of powered monitors(pa) so mage something there? Thanks again for your help. Will report back.

If you are feeding two powered mixers, then set it up for stereo output. If one channel is silent, then simply pull the cords from the two mixer outputs and swap them. Does the problem travel with the cords or not?

Not mixer

Do you mean you mono both channels? If you do, the try swapping pins 2 and 3 of one XLR as they are ballanced outputs of opposite phasing.
