I can buy a used Behringer 2310 which I plan to use as a lowpass crossover. It's almost cheaper than building my own active crossover.

Funnily enough, I was just about to buy the Behringer DSP8024 and ECM8000 mic. These products together measure your speakers in your room and adjust the graphic equaliser accordingly. They seem to be almost solely for professsional budget use, but seem well made and good quality...not to mention CHEAP!

my tuppence worth - Behringer kit is never well made or good quality, but it is cheap. i don't know any professionals that use Behringer kit - they like give that impression, but they only really sell to home users.

Must disagree in part with redeye. Ok the digital line of behringer(Althought i've never heard it) dosen't seem to be very good. But their analog series are of excellent quality and extremly well priced.
I've had very good results so far with my Behringer Ultracurve 8024 (used in the digital domain and as DAC).
Also: I have AER's as fullrangers (used wide-range) and also Thorsten Loesch uses the Ultracurve (modified though), so don't worry about it messing up the sound.

The Behringer crossover should be reasonable.
Obviously it's not the best active crossover

are of the highest quality, because Behringer
buys all of their components in bulk from the
cheapest bidder that will meet their specs.
Behringer gear has become quite popular in
the home recording market because of the price.
The sound quality is generally good, but not
what most people would consider as high end.
People working in pro audio generally expect
more rugged equipment, and higher sound quality,
but are willing to pay premium prices for that.

are one of the best products that Behringer
makes. These are great for taking measurements,
and for audio recording.
