There is a beta from september 2022... he is using that.
He could be a rocket scientist but if he will not announce the version he is using I cannot reproduce the steps he is going through. I have moved onto other videos that not only announce what version they are on but show with much greater detail on how to achieve the necessary steps for acoustical timing.
Fun to watch these videos, but I watch them to improve my system. Not just watch someone else talk about the wonderful things they have done to theirs.
Option 1 : Volumio is a headless player so you could record the REW test sweep signal (REW can do this) then play it back as a file on Volumio, while listening for the result using your UMIK + REW + laptop. REW can detect and synchronize on a playback file.
Option 2 : Or, you could program another SD card with Raspbian OS and run REW directly on you RPI and plug the UMIK into the RPI. You would need a keyboard, mouse and monitor connected to the RPI to control REW [ REW on RPI ] .
Option 3 : The latest version of Volumio (3.3) is suppose to accept a digital inputs (via Sources), but it requires a premium (paid) subscription to enable it. I never tried it.

The version is clearly visible in the top of the screen of REW... you will se it if you look!
Out of all the videos I have watched on this subject, this guy posts using the lowest possible resolution. So there is nothing to see no matter how much I look.
Why does this have to be an Easter egg hunt?
Why can’t you just say what it is since you seem to know it?
Why the teasing?
I am just trying to learn.

Sorry DanDenver if I have been unpolite. I shared a good video, and i think I have answered all your questions? Please correct me if I have hurt your feelings. So many other forums/threads elsewhere that are so much more helpful in this area.
