Case is I would like to build my own amplifier, but don't really know which kit or chip to choose.
Regarding the speakers we are talking small bookshelf speakers, so it's not because i need a whole lot of power (as far as i know).
I've been looking a lot at this forum but haven't been able to make a decision.
So I'm asking what "cheap"/non-expensive kit/chip would you recommend to this?
PS. I know a decent bit about electronics, just not very much about audio.

It's not really DIY except for the housing. I have the Arjen Helder TA2024 board, and it sounds fine, but it's not very powerfull. It's enogh for me now when I'm 40 yrs old, but when I was 20 it wouldn't have been quite enough (even on smallish speakers)
