I am lucky enough to live in the north west of Wales, Snowdonia, and there are areas here of virgin oak woodland, there is a lot a plantation too and I quite like the contrast. The only problem with some of the truly wild areas is that they are impenetrable physically so it's only possible to glimpse true "nature" from the periphery
Those are beautiful photographs whether "natural" or not. Tell me, what is nature anyway? Can you point at it?

Lots of nice forest around here. Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Arbutus, some Aspen.

Plantation forests are just creepy with those unnatural spaces between rows that disappear into darkness. Good settings for movies like Jessica Hausner's "Hotel."
