Beast with a Thousand JFETs

There are several things to discourage competition from cloning this amp:

1) It must be soldered by hand, and it takes a lot of time (impatient competition will roll their eyes upon seeing it-wont even think about soldering 3000+legs)
2) Papa will purchase all remaining stock of J-fets, so there won't be any left for competitors

The good thing is that, when Papa gets bored of these amps, he will have years supply of J'fets (and some even for us). Imagine a conversation after 10 years: Halo, Nelson, I want to build a Jfet preamp, but I can't find any jfets...
Papa: Wait, I have some on the boards of those beasts, somewhere in my basement...lemme unsolder some and I'll send them to you...

I left the leads long.

Hi Nelson,

so you finally had time to finish your a thousand jfet beast ;-)

Amazing how you regularly come up with something completely different (TM). Really nice fun stuff.

I hope you enjoy your work at least as much as we do. Thanks for sharing.

It works very well. I haven't had the time to play with it as much
as I would like. I finally got Jill to bring her macro lens back from the
coast so I could take the pictures I need, and the article will be finished
in about 3 weeks.

Jan has chosen my SIT article over this, so then I have to decide where to
put it. Maybe AudioXpress.
