AFAIK Baxandall configuration is bass/treble only.. Response is normally shelving, boost and cut are symettrical, separate midrange control & circuit would normally be a resonant type about 1.5 - 2 octaves wide.. I have seen attempts to use a single op amp stage with three controls loosely based on the baxandall topology, but there was a lot of interaction between the mids and treble control. Alternatively there is the old western electric (aka james) approach still used in fender and marshall guitar amplifiers, but I don't recommend this for hifi.
