Baxandall active tone control

Does anybody out there understand (and is able to explain!) how the all of the components in the baxandall circuit I've attached work to modify the frequency response of the input signal?

I imported this circuit into multisim and added a 'middle' cut and boost control that I came across here...

The output looks really nice and I'm planning on building the circuit. I just want to really understand how it works. I know a bit about laplace, fourier, transfer functions etc so if anybody out there can explain how each component serves to affect the frequency response of the input signal then please do!

The info above really answers you question(s) I think, but thought I'd share my own tone excursions.

Wanting to add some degree of tone control to a couple headamps I built, dove into two attempts:

BCJ tube amp with Bass n Treble and Fender Tone Stack B M T but not incorporated into those particular amps.

I made them switchable & eventually found myself not using them much. Issues may have been impedance and I my passive implementation.

Finding I often moved Bass & Treble in opposing directions when I did use them at all, tried making a portable Tilt EQ which I'm liking best. Perhaps because its not passive (zero gain). Only real change I would make would be to a 20k pot (like panny mentioned in thread) cause I'm using little of the range.
