Battery charger transformer for chipamp?

How would a 13.5-0-13.5 transformer from a battery charger work for a chipamp? It's a 10A charger, no idea what the VA of the transformer would be, but it looks to be pretty beefy. Any downsides? Just need a cheap power supply until I can afford a good toroidal transformer..

It depends on the type of chip amp you want to build ....

a 13.5v 0v ,13.5v Transformer would be suitable for a TDA2030/2040/2050/LM1875 and possibly a low powered LM3875/3886....

If it can supply 10A then it would be plenty for any of these chips....
