Bass support for Spendors

I would like to build a pair of subwoofers to go with some Spendor speakers (sa1 or sp1) and am looking to run up to 50 or 60 hz at most.

These will be for music i.e. not home theater - so no need for earthquake levels.

I plan on using the Peerless SLS315 (12") drivers and would like a box (but would consider open baffle, h baffle or slot design) that could be used as a stand for the Spendors.

Can anyone provide some feedback on this driver and any info on designs that have worked for them.
