10.5/.75 = 14:1 aspect ratio, so in theory [and reality] will need to be shorter than a pipe for a given tuning, though your guess is as good as mine as to how much, so better to make it 1" x 7.8" to use the 6.5" length.

Alright, sounds good!

How accurate do you need to be dimensionally? Being that I'm building the cabs out of MDF I'm accepting of the 1/16" shop rule.

From my own few builds, I've found that port / slot at the rear doesn't present any major issues provided at least a few inches from back wall. Note, that depending on the aspect ratio of enclosure's overall dimensions - specifically length / height - the location of port along the longest dimension may become significant .

Alright, I have the cabinets almost complete, a final coat of Varathane tomorrow morning and they are done.

I have purchased foam damping material to fasten to the inner cabinet directly behind the low frequency driver, and I purchased 2" think sheets of poly-fill to line the rest of the inner cabinet.

Question: Can the Poly-fill be placed over the crossover?
