Hi All
I am relativly new to tubes and I am currently building aKT88 PPP amp with cascode input (Ian Millers DUD-120) and I am also looking to buils my son a Bass practice amp using a GU32 tube ( because it is a very cool looking tube).
I was wondering if anyone out there has any experiance using these tubes for a bass amp.
A proven schematic would be fantastic.
I have done a search and have found several schematics with an output around 5W but I dont know if thay are acceptable for a guitar amp.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

I would replace the input control with a 1 meg resistor to ground. Then replace the 100k resistor in the middle with a pot for volume control. Unless the bass has a battery (preamp) in it, it may not like having 100k on it's output.
I can't really comment on whether the rest of the circuit might work well with a guitar or bass.

Thanks for the input JJman.
I will make those changes and see what happens.
My son is currently using a 5W ss amp as a practice amp so this will hopefully be an improvement.
