basic question regarding voltage doubler

I have googled and asked but noone has given me a simple answer so here goes.

When connecting a trannie with a 12VAC secondary to a voltage doubler, do I get 12x2x(squareroot-out-of-two)VAC or just 24VAC?

The reason I want to know is that I want to build the TNT indiscrete- phono and while a 2x12V trannie is easy to get a hold of (and cheap) a 2x15V is quite another thing.

kind regards.

The supply is regulated

I'm not certain, the supply has regulators
The first regulator is a simple capacitance multiplier using a MOSFET. The MOSFETs gate voltage is kept nearly fixed by a RC filter (C6-C7-R3 and C8-C9-R7) with a very large time constant (220sec and 470sec respectively: it takes 20 and 40 minutes to get to 95% of the final voltage...). The output voltage is programmed by the voltage divider (R1-R2 and R5-R6).

So I think maybe you just re-adjust the resistor ratios of (R1-R2 and R5-R6).
