Banana plug jack or RCA jack chassis mounted

I am building a pre amp, and power amp and I have a lot of banana plug female ends.
I would normally use RCA plugs for the device inter connects as well as the speaker cables. So what do you think about using banana plug cables throughout ?
Impact on fidelity, clarity, intertference, etc. ?
I have just never done it.,

Makes continuous shielding a lot more difficult.

Used as turntable inputs on vintage radios.
Doesn't mean they are great but may be adequate.
