Hey,
I'm looking for a balanced line driver IC, preferably available in DIP packages. I've seen the SSM2142 and the DRV134. Are there any other chips? The SSM looks like it is very old from the 1991 data sheet and the DRV chips aren't widely available in DIP (maybe an RoHS transition thing).
Any help is appreciated!

You can find the DRV134PA at http://www.schuro.de/preisl-audio-ics.htm . Maybe you can get some samples of THAT's IC from the manufactor? A comparsion of the three devices mentioned http://www.thatcorp.com/datashts/OutSmartsComp.pdf

You can also make your own Ballanced line driver curcuit useing a Dual Opamp and a few resistors.....
That is what I end up doing because I can"t get the DRV134 chips here and makeing one from a Dual opamp seems to work quite well (For mic preamps anyways) and are easy to build and seem to perform quite well .....
Cheers
