Just to clarify, there is no point in it, right? I see Hans Polak used in his non-plus phono article but it's a MC preamp. So what do you guys think?
Not sure I quite understand “why no point”. Unless one side of the coil is grounded (which is done by “some” MM manufacturers) one still has a notional a “balanced”, possibly more correctly “differential”, signal.
Sound Practices had a interesting Differential Input, split RIAA MM stage article and circuit penned by jc morrison, Siren Song. I don’t have the specific issue details with me, sorry. Your search engine of preference should find it.

Wrong forum, phono isn't line level. Also important to understand you need to change your tonearm wiring to balanced as well, not just a change in preamp.
Hans Polak also gave information in Linear Audio of how to build a MM version of his NPUJust to clarify, there is no point in it, right? I see Hans Polak used in his non-plus phono article but it's a MC preamp. So what do you guys think?
