Balanced connections on FW DIY AMPS

I am new to this hobby, maybe a year at most (never could have done it without this forum). Under my belt are 2 M2s, 2AJs, and a VFET DIY amp.

My system requires the use of an active digital crossover that requires a balanced connection. What I am using now is a cable that makes this conversion, however, I am not sure I am happy with this set up.

I am not knowledgeable enough to know if this is possible or how to even begin, but can I modify either of the amps that I have into a balanced connection amp? (obviously the AJs have this option). Specifically the vfet, it is my favorite, can it be made to have balanced connections or better yet both?

Please forgive me if this is a dumb and easily answered question. Thank you for your time in reading my thread.

it is important how is made analog part of your xover - is it proper symmetrical/differential circuit , or is it just (usually is) slammed two SE stages , each working on one phase

if later is in question , there is hardly any benefit of using bal connection ......... just use pins 1 and 2 of XLR , feeding RCA downwards

Thanks all, I'll review and read these links. From the surface it does not look an easy thing to do... maybe not worth it.

FWIW, I am using an OPPO105D as a pre to the Digital XO which is a xillica-4080 that feeds the AMPS. One amp channel for each driver.

The goal is to remove any 60/120 Hz line hum as my speakers are super sensitive.

Install a balanced to unbalanced transformer inside the Vfet amps. If your goal is unwanted noise and you have long cable runs to the amps you will want to run balanced naturally. The transformer will also isolate any ground loop potentials as an added bonus which will further reduce your noise floor.

Win-Win.
