Is there a balanced version of the B1 floating around? I am pretty newb when it comes to SS (better with tubes).
I was thinking of making a buffer to switch between 3 inputs in my combined system (HT & Music). 1 would be XLR from DAC, 1 RCA from phono, 1 XLR HT bypass. Output would be XLR into my Crown amp. Obviously I need to convert SE>Balanced for the phono. I don't think I need any gain, so a buffer would work well.
I have a small stash of 2sK170.

I'd like to see one too. I have a few parts to build a single ended DCB1 variant that a member was selling PCBs for. I'm new to balanced circuits. Would you not need 2 B1's to do it properly? I'm not sure, but always thought that was part of it... so looking forward to this thread and where it goes.
Not sure if you want to build based on the original B1 or otherwise. I came across some info on implementing the Salas DCB1 in a balanced configuration more than once. Here is a link to some basic info:

Search the massive B1 Thread and Nelson Pass has a few posts and exchanges on a balanced B1. You would need 2 boards, each channel on an individual board for the two phases of the signal, and then float the ground.
wait for Iron Pre
it'll be made in both SE and Bal and , most importantly , Bal is working as SE to Bal converter
