i have a lightware viewpoint 100 projector
when connecting via vga the picture is fine
but when i connect a composite or s-vid source i get lines around any outline and fast moving images look horrid
does anybody have any idea what could be causing the problem ???

AFAIK The vp100 uses the same hardware of the ezpro500 that has a native resolution of 640x480, and no (or very bad) deinterlacing (interlacing causes the comb effect around the shapes).
The solution to your problem is to buy a svideo (or component) -> VGA converter
or a VGA tuner (that has a s-video in) they cost around 50/75 $
