I'm on my way to design Unity horn for PA purposes (60x40, BMS 4550 and Faital 6FE200, covering from around 250 Hz, crossed about 1 kHz, DSP processed).
I came across a problem when simulating mids response in Hornresp: frequency response looks much worse when I use the second flare.
Here are my inputs and simulated frequency response with the second flare:
And here without the second flare:
Any idea why does it looks like that? I've read most of the threads about Unity/Synergy designs but never saw any report about that kind of problem.

Glad you asked that !
Been having the same problem when adding the secondary flare.
Looking forward to the answer...

You're right! I assumed, that leaving '1' in the second flare setting in SynergyCalc spreadsheet will just omit the flare, leaving the rest of horn unchanged.
That's great that I know the reason now, but how can I solve that? How can I calculate the proper depth, if I already have my coverage pattern set? Also, I have plenty of space in the rear of horn to use.
