Bad capacitor?

I believe I have a foul capacitor on the left channel crossover of my speaker. The crossover is mounted externally and is easy to get to. What kind of meter would I need to check this out while the speaker is playing? Any help with this is greatly appreciated .

The only real way to test it is to remove it from the circuit and test on a capacitance meter.

Or put in the capacitor from the right channel. If the problem is gone, the cap was bad.
