Hi everyone,
Please forgive me if this has been asked before, I did do a search but nothing came up that really related to what I need to find out.
Firstly I am in the UK, I am seeking advice about installing a background music system into a large indoor market area.
In order to overcome the stringent music licensing laws here in the UK I am using an internet radio station that broadcasts only Copyright/Royalty free music.
This is done via a bluetooth connection.
So what I am hoping is I can get some kind of 100w+ amp with bluetooth capabilities/connection and use that to connect to a speaker system of maybe 10 speakers wired in parallel.
Is this possible to do?
Will the blue tooth connection only have to reach the first speaker in order for all the others to also work?
Please excuse my ignorance I am a complete novice regarding sound systems.
I will be very grateful indeed for any help or advice from you guys, maybe some of you are from the UK too and understand what I am talking about.
Oh I also have quite a limited budget of maybe £500.
Thanks Guys.🙂

So you're playing Musak. Check. In order to overcome the stringent music licensing laws here in the UK I am using an internet radio station that broadcasts only Copyright/Royalty free music.
What you want is a distribution amplifier, this system is often called a 70v system as it typically runs at a constant voltage and transformers provide a constant load impedance to the amp while providing the correct power level to the speakers. If you use a traditional amp there is no way you could wire 10 speakers in parallel they would have to be in a series/parallel combination. This is done via a bluetooth connection.

No, a Bluetooth connection is only between the media player and the amplifier which should be co-located, and that is because Bluetooth only has a usable range of 10-15ft.. and even then it can be glitchy. I'd strongly suggest using a hard wired connection if at all possible. Will the blue tooth connection only have to reach the first speaker in order for all the others to also work?

blue tooth is line level and does not hook up to a speaker...
take a look at this site Restaurant Background Music System | MVS AV installers London
this is probably higher end and budget then you would want but if you research the components and brands they're using it will help put you on the right track.
a 70V line speaker system in what your after for an indoor market install and many of the better brands have options for bluetooth interfaces built in or as an accessory in the mixer amp/ head unit.
take a look Bogen and TOA for more of what your looking for

Thank you guys for the prompt replies.
The internet radio I am using is playing the music of unsigned bands who have entered an agreement with the radio station to have their music broadcast. This eliminates the usual music license restraints for public broadcast of music.
I now understand what you mean when you say the bluetooth only connects to the amp and the amp then sends it to the speakers. Thats about the level of my understanding to be honest.lol
I will take the advice and look for a company that deals in packages and see how they are doing things, that will give me a better idea of costs involved.
Once again thank you Guys for the advice.
