Anyone want to take a stab as to why after marty turned up the amp to max volume that there was no "pop" noise of him plugging in the connection to his guitar?

I'm pretty sure the speaker should of blown the moment the connector made contact with the guitar. Actually just waving around the connector in the air maybe should of blown the speaker.
