Hi
I am going to order the BIII DAC with the Legato output stage.
How will my BA-2 handle the 6-7V common DC offset from the Legato ?
Will I be better off with the IVY I/V line stage ?
Thanks
Chris

no DC drek going in BA2 FE
you need either xformer or caps in front of it
or another shebang , which will shift these 6-7V to gnd potential

Hi Chris,
nothing wrong with the BIII (I'm also owning one with the legato output stage), but either take Zenmod's advice or look here: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digi...-sen-evolution-minimalistic-iv-converter.html
There's also a V18 variant supporting the Buffalo chip.
Kind regards,
Matthias
PS:
Perhaps the BA2 will handle this offset well enough, but what about your speaker coils? Perhaps someone tested this if they have also some magic smoke in them? 😉
