B1 Buffer - Rotary Switch

It would not be ergonomic as 2 position rotary switches were often used for power on/off. Make it a 3 or 4 position switch and it will be like classic devices (tuner/aux/CD). Extra input too which certainly won't hurt as many have a few sources. A break before make type rotary switch by a good brand with contact material suitable for audio is good. Here Elma is a popular choice as it is old fashioned good quality. Grayhill and C&K rotary switches are fine too. Lorlin when the budget is low.

Special attention to which shaft is used. Good quality metal knobs for normal 6 mm shafts are easier to find than those for D type shafts or knurled ones. The latter are often made of plastic.

Of course having the switch mounted on a bracket near the RCA inputs so with short wiring is best. Extension rods will make that possible.
