yes, you can! But I would not recommend it😛 B&W speakers are very well designed. and if start messing around with crossover it can damage the beautiful sound that these speakers produce. they use fixed L-pad to compensate SPL from drivers also some of them use resistors as impedance compensator. You can try different placement, surrounding etc. Also carpets and big curtains will "muffle" the high frequencies. if all this does not work for you...then those speakers are not for you😱. Klipsch are well known for their "boosted" highs, maybe you should try them if you like their sound, But in my opinion I do not like them for their "exaggerated" highs and I can not listen to speakers with too much highs...it is fatiguing to my ears and I can not listen to them for more than 10 minutes and it gets worse if they are playing at high volume🙁 . you can also try with an equalizer to boost the treble. I hope you keep those B&W speakers...they are very good speakers. I have the baby B&W 686 and I love the sound, Would I "mess" with their crossover? NO WAY!!!

I am well aware of the effects of acoustic environments, placements and electronics etc. Those are constants that are non-negotiable hence my inquiry.
I`ve had the version 2 of that model and much preferred it.
They sound completely different from each other with the S3 having a more extended frequency response at both extremes, but it just sounds veiled to me.

I eventually sold my 602s3's not because the treble was weak but because the mid range was somewhat lacking.

I've now got a pair of 683's which are far better.

I auditioned a pair of 684`s a little while ago and thought they were awful. My first reaction was "are the tweeters working?"
It would appear that I`m deaf with these posts but I assure you that I`m most definitely not 😀

Well....for what I can read, you will like the Klipsch speakers!😉. The Klipsch speakers are well known for their "exaggerated" highs, and very high SPL. just give them a try.

Very nice!!! 😉 is Moon the competition of Bryston?
since you have a nice amp and nice speakers...it is not an easy task!.
What about if you go to a HI-FI audio store and audition different speakers?
I have had many speakers and to me, it always was the "opposite". they all had too much highs for me, some more than others.
it will be ashamed if you start messing around with the crossovers. I would rather sell them and buy different speakers.

Simaudio and Bryston are indeed competitors, very competent the both of them. Classe , yet another Canadian amp manufacturer unfortunately sold out to some large corporation and moved production to China 🙁 whereas the other two continue to manufacture in Canada.
I`ve owned products from all three but prefer the Krell 300i.😕

As for the 602`s, I bought them as interim speakers based on my prior S2 experiences which were quite good.
The S3 took a step forward in cosmetics but a step back in performance it would seem.

I had the baby... the Bryston B60! it is an excellent integrated amplifier for sure. I was very happy. But After I build my own diy amplifier, I sold my bryston. Today "if" I had to buy a commercial amplifier, I would buy a Bryston😉.

So, I guess you liked the sound of the S2 better right? if you are not happy with the sound now, why don't you sell the 602 and try to get the S2 or the 604?/ I find the new 600 series have more detail than the old series.

Wow, not to drag this back to the OP... but I have to say I find most B&W speakers seem to cull the high-end from their beautiful midrange speakers a bit too much, if anything I'd be reducing the value of the inductor in series with the mid-range/mid woofer in B&W designs.

I'm sure sreten can tell us all the technical reasons not to... (i.e. I'm sure B&W have done loads of phase calculations that you'd ruin with such a replacement).

Sounds odd but I'd probably also increase the cap values on the tweeters slightly, and increas the L-pad, but that's only from my experience working with one 3-way B&W design...

Look on the measurements here:
B&W DM 602 Series 3 Surround Speaker System Measurements | Sound & Vision

Do you really need to add extra dB to tweeter response?

Again, increase both cap and resistor value in my books... very important to notice the measured dip in the vertical axis though, before yiu do anything i'd recommend that you adjust the speakers so the tweeters are at leastvpointint to ear height where you listen... if not at your ears, it doesn't look like they need much toe in
